Biography

William Browne, son of Sir Anthony Browne and Alice Gage.[1]

William pre-deceased his wife Anne Hastings, who died before 1573.

His son Anthony had his will proved 1628 according to the 1664 visitation, and the parliamentary inquiry.

The second source, "3 papers...." does not state that William pre-deceased his wife Anne. It states that Anne died in 1573, and that her inheritance passed to her son Anthony, presumably in accordance with a marriage settlement. The Peerage http://www.thepeerage.com/p31320.htm#i313191 states that William remarried after 1588.
