Biography

Robert Browne, Esq., Chancellor of the Exchequer, and son of Sir john Browne, Knight, by his 1st wife Alice daughter and heir of William Swineshed, ^[1] married Isabel sister and heir of Sir John Sharpe, Knight, ^[2] and daughter of Christopher Sharpe, Esq. of Coggeshall, Essex. ^[2] They had a son Edward Browne, and two daughters, Isabel (Browne) Quarles and Olive (Browne) Overton. ^[3]
