Researchers Notes
Stickney, Lucy, on page 66 of The Kinsman Family, Genealogical Record of the Descendants of Robert Kinsman, of Ipswich, Mass., from 1634 to 1875, (Alfred Mudge & Son, Boston, 1876) says of William, that he was
probably the one baptised in Ipswich 12m 3 d 1711, the son of Samuel and Martha Brown
However, if true, this would indicate a 15 year old man marrying a 19 year old woman. Possible, but against the norms of the time.
There was a William Brown, born December 3, 1711, in Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay Colony, and christened February 3, 1712, in Ipswich, a son of William Browne and Dorothy Giddings. [11]
There was also a William Brown, born October 14, 1705, in Ipswich [12]
