Biography

Margaret was born in 1840. She was the daughter of Joseph Browne and Mary Laing. She passed away in 1911.

In the 1911 England Census Jane Fairley 66 born abt 1845 in Newcastle, Northumberland, England, private nursing home, widow was head of her household in 11 Murton Street Sunderland, Durham, England. Other Household Members were her daughter Margaret Edith Fairley 43 Sunderland, Durham, assistant nurse, her cousin Jane Cherrington 70 Little Britain, Middlesex single, her head nurse Mary Maclean 27 Lewis Rosshire single, her sister Margaret Laing Bankart 71 Newcastle, Nothumberland widow assistant nurse, her servants Caroline Elizabeth Wynyar 22 Tyne Docks housemaid, and Marian Smith 25 Sunderland cook, and her patient John Watson Hunter 47 Sunderland married marine engineer draughtsman.
