In the Browne Pedigree in the Visitation of Essex in 1612 he was recorded as Thomas Browne of Flambarts Hall, Essex, son and heir of William Browne of Flambarts Hall.[1] His mother was Thomasin, daughter of Sir Thomas Baldry, Alderman of London.[2][3][4]
Thomas was recorded as the eldest son and heir in the will of his father William Browne Esq., of Flamberds in the parish of Norton, Essex, the will dated 1 October 1549 and proved 28 January 1550/1551.[5]
Thomas Browne married Joane, daughter of Sir Gyles Allington, Knight, of Horseheath, Cambridgeshire. The Allington Pedigree in the Visitation of Cambridge 1575 noted that Joane Allington, daughter of Sir Giles Allington and Alice Midleton married first Thomas Browne and second Henry Myldmay.[6] The Mildmay Pedigree in the Visitation of Essex in 1558 recorded that Henry the third son of Sir Walter Mildmay married Joanne daughter of Sir Giles Alington and widow of Thomas Browne.[7]
In his will was dated 02 May 1567 and proved 27 May 1567 he was recorded as Thomas Browne of Flamberdes in the parish of Colde Norton in the Countie of Essex esquire.[8] His will was to be buried in the parish church of Colde Norton.

the "childe or children that Jane my wife is nowe with childe"

Elizabeth Barnarde widow of the Parish of St Mary Abchurch of London

All his children were under the age of 21.
His wife Jane was sole Executrix. The Overseers were Mr Thomas Daveie Esq., and Mr William Allington of Grey's Inn, Esq.
