i have no sources to disprove that these are not his children because there are no valid sources to prove that they WERE his children, Lack of proof does not constitute a relationship .if there are no valid sources that prove they were his children, then they should not be listed as such. The listed children have the very common surname of lewis. That does not prove they were his children, . Can you share your perspective with me on why they are listed as his children? thank you
I sent you a check-in message a week -10 days ago about the US Southern Colonies Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?
If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Hoping to hear from you,
Best wishes,
Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project
However, if you’d like to rejoin at any stage you would be most welcome to do so by answering the G2G sign-up post here.
Many thanks,
Mary, Project Coordinator, Membership, US Southern Colonies Project
This is the (January) semi-annual polling for the US Southern Colonies Project check-in with members to see if you have been active in the last six months in this project?
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the US Southern Colonies Project that you respond to these check-ins. Types of activity vary, as I mentioned in the June check-in.
I look forward to hearing from you.. Many thanks,
Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project
Disregard my other message of today. I found your answer. Glad you are active with the project.
thanks

I sent you a message regarding activity in Southern Colonies. It is way past the time to check in. I hope your answer did not get misplaced by myself or lost in the mail.
Do you still want to be in the project?
If I don’t hear from you June 25th, 2021, I will assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Mary, Membership Coordinator, US Southern Colonies Project

Mary ~ Project Coordinator, Membership
thank you.
It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.
thank you.
Sincerely, Amy Gilpin Scotland Project Co-Leader
Thank you for merging the profiles and finding that lost Lucy! I was able to remove you from the profile as a manager. Caroline
I do not want to add any duplicate children. Do you know if Hardin Ida Jones and other siblings have Wiki profiles? I want to avoid merging duplicates because the match process for adding new people has not worked well for me as it tells me after i have added someone and then want to add relatives.
I added Hardin Irvin jones , someone else added lena as daughter, i did not add any other children, i dont know if there are profiles for them on wikitree, i dont want my line on wikitree, you will have you would need to check to see if there are already profiles for the other children, wikitree is dfferent as you can not delete people, you can only merge with the permission of the person who manages the other profile. feel free to add any children that do not allready have profiles, if they have profiles all ready and do not show any father, you can add hardin's profile to them as father, if they do show a father then you have yto propose a merge with permission of the profile manager. but please do not add my line in ok? people who have profiles for people get VERY touchy about merges here, also here, they want everything sourced.

My name is Sarah and I’m the Project Coordinator for the Scotland Project. As you may have heard, we have merged the Scottish Clans project into the Scotland Project. I am contacting you today to find out if you are interested in continuing with us under this new format. If you would like to go forward on the Scottish Clans Team, please reply and let me know which clans you have been working on or would like to work on. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards, Sarah Mason, Scotland PC
the delema I see is as these families expand, the people are covered by other projects so I dont know exactly what project I should be in so far i have listed spouses and spouses family members that fall under the new Netherlands project, some spouses families are from the Scottish Stirling families and I have entered some of the Stirlings from the Scottish project, ,some of the Stirling ancestors are going to be royals and they are covered by yet another project. euroristracrats or something like that. So i would like to stay involved with the Scottish project but not exclusively. i don't have the wiki tree experience to have the responsibly of leading anything , I am from Ancestry for the last ten years so the interface here is way different. I don't copy trees on ancestry, I just use the databases there. I am just a little worker ant, that can take small assignments that are not time sensitive.I have the most interest in researching people that are related to me directly or through marriage. Researching unrelated people doesn't hold my interest very long. Once in a while if I think see something that looks familiar, I will go back a few generations just out of curiosity. That said I am still learning the interface of wiki tree and there are things that i am not familiar with yet. kind regards wendy
You can be in any project you want and you don't have to join a project to research something. You can even ask a project if they can help you with something without actually joining the project. The Scotland project has teams covering your clans of interest, but also Nobility. I will go ahead and put you on the Clan Forbes team and if you would like to add any other teams, just let me know.
Cheers,
Sarah

The Magna Carta Project does not restrict who can edit profiles that it manages, only that normal WikiTree collaboration practices are followed (for example, major changes, such as changing relationships, should be discussed before execution).

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many decendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the UNITED_STATES Project.
Butch - Pre-1700 Greeter
Still, before they're merged, the daughters attached to them need resolution. (I think it may have been me who set them as rejected, but that was after detaching the one from being Charles Lewis's wife and her daughter from being his daughter... those connections have been made again, so they need to be revisited. I could not find any primary proof at the time to help find a resolution to the profile. If you can post such info to the profiles involved, that'd be great!)
Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site and our community. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Have the New Member How-To pages been helpful or left you with questions?
It's great to have you on board. Enjoy your time here, and good luck growing your branches. If you need help just click on my name you'll be transferred to my profile where you can post a message or send me a private message.
