Edward Franklin Browning shows Nicholas Browning, Jr, son of Nicholas Browning and Sarah Washburn, as born 1752 in Culpeper, Virginia.[1]
A number of persons are shown as children of Nicholas Browning in various genealogies, but are not named in Nicholas Will. [2]
It is appears certain that Nicholas intended to name all his children then living at the time he wrote his will in 1786, whether they were to inherit or not. Therefore it must be concluded that any of these named below, who were living in 1786, are not his children, unless some other strong evidence exists.
