Biography

14 Mar 1868 - Alexander is named guardian of William S. Broyles, Julius Broyles, Elijah Broyles, and Hezekiah Broyles, heirs of (his son) Abraham Broyles, dec'd. Washington Co., Tenn.[1] Elijah and Hezekiah are actually sons of Samuel Broyles, not Abraham. Both Samuel and Abram were apparently deceased by this date. And to add further curiosity to this, we see that Alexander himself had sons William S. and Julius. No record can be found of Abram's marriage or any of his children born in the period 1863-1868.

14 Mar 187? - Payments are made to Polly Ann Staunton, James M.C. Broyles, Alpha Burgner, Alexander Broyles, guardian of minor heirs.[1]

29 Oct 1872 - Final settlement. James M. Mauk administrator.[1]
