The death occured at the Dubbo District Hospital this morning of Mr. George William Bruce, a well-known resdent of Dubbo, after a short illness, at the age of 58 years. Death was due to heart failure. Deceased was a son of the late Mr. Henry Bruce, of Dubbo, and was a native of the town. He was generally esteemed by all who knew him. For many years he followed the occupation of a blacksmith, and was lately employed by Mr. L. Clark at Terramungamine. He leaves a widow and a family of three daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. B. Martin, Cobborah; Mrs. A. Martin, Cobborah; Mrs. W H. Croft, Bubbol and Mr. W. G. Bruce, Goolma, and Mr. C. H. Bruce, Goulburn (sons); also Mr. R. Bruce, Dubbo (brother), Mrs. Trainer, Bathurst (sister), Mrs. T. Walsh, Dubbo (step-sister), Mr. T. Bruce, Marromine, and Mr. Claude Bruce, Queensland (step-brothers). The funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, in the Church of England portion of the cemetery, Rev. C. W. Leavers officiating. The mortuary arrangements are in the hands of M. E. Lees.
