D. Cole, of Dubbo, and Maude Jane, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bruce, of Dubbo. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Amos Martin, was becomingly gowned in white satin charmeuse over silk, skirt prettily draped and caught up with pearl ornament and overdress of silk lace; bodice trimmed with silk lace, tulle and seed pearls; square train from waist, corners finished with true lovers' knots and orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ily Bruce, who was prettily attired in white crepe de chine, trimmed with overall lace and insertion. She carried a shower bouquet of flowers and ferns, and wore a gold bamboo bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The bouquets were the gifts of Miss C. Lees, aunt of the bride- groom. Mr. Eric Croft acted as best man. The bride's gift to the bride- groom was a gold watch chain. After the ceremony the party adjourned to Mr. F. Coffee;s, where a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of, and the customary toasts honored. Canon Lea, who presided, said that seldom had he the privilege of uniting in matrimony a couple who were natives of the town. Mr. and Mrs. Croft left by the mail train for Bathurst and Sydney, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's going-away dress was a navy tailor-made coat and skirt; hat to match. The presents were numerous, and included some very useful articles.

    OBITUARY
MAUD JANE CROFT. A very sad death occurred in Dubbo on Wednesday morning when Mrs. Maud Jane Croft, wife of Mr. William Croft, died after a protracted illness. She had returned to Dubbo only a few days previously, having spent several weeks at Katoomba in the hope of building up her constitution. The visit to the mountains, unhappily, was unavailing, and her condition was grave when she returned. Only 31 years of age, the deceased lady leaves two young children, one eleven and one three, to join their father in mourning an irreparable loss. Born in Dubbo, she was the daughter of the late Mr. George Bruce and Mrs. Bruce, and was well known, and her bright disposition in health and sickness made her many friends. The remains were yesterday taken to Holy Trinity Church, where a service was held, prior to the funeral to the Church of England portion of the Dubbo cemetery. A great many friends attended the service and the funeral. The Rector, the Rev. C. W. Leavers, officiated at the church and the graveside, and amongst the immediate relatives present were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. N. Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Mar- tin, Mr. and Mrs. Cole, Mr. Ernie Croft (Kiama), Mr. and Mrs. Ted Croft. His many friends will sympathise with Mr. Bruce in his bereavement.
