William Bruce's Last Will and Testament Kentucky, Lincoln County Court February Term 1843 "In the name of God Amen I William Bruce ... of Lincoln Co and state of Kentucky being in perfect memory and sound mind and calling to mind the frailty of life and certainty of death do make and constitute this my last will and Testament. Revoking and Dis... all other Wills, .. . First I commend my spirit and body to that being from whom I had my Existence my body to be decently buried under the direction of my Execut ors hereafter named, and as to what worldly property it has pleased providence to bless me with it is my will and desire that my Daughter Lucinda Bruce have one Hundred and fifty Dollars also my son James Bruce have one Hundred and fifty Dollars and my Daughter Nancy Blackeby Fifty Dollars, and my two grand Daughters P...lince (Prudance Unknown)Sutton and Susannah Sutton I give and bequeath Fifty dollars to Each, the Balance of my property, I bequeath to my children namely William Bruce Henry Bruce Susannah Edelin Thomas Bruce Lucinda Bruce James Bruce and Mary Graves to share Equally of my Property when sold, said lands Negroes stock of all kinds House hold and Kitchen furniture, all my Bonds and money t hat may Remain at my Death, I request that my son William Bruce and Henry Bruce act as Executors to this my last will and Testament."
