↑Abstracts of Pittsylvania County, Virginia Wills, 1767-1820, Compiled by Lela C. Adams, Bassett, Virginia, c. 1986 by Southern Historical Press. p. 173, Will Book I, Pages 386-387
I have been told that the couple, James Bruce and Tabitha Mustain, is not the correct set of parents for this family. Note that one of the Executors for James's will was Every Mustien and James' daughter, Susanna, married Shadrack Mustain in 1831 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia,
My Sarah Bruce who married James Milton Scott still has no parentage. However, I believe all of them connect at some point as there is multiple DNA connections to me those from this family as well as the family of James Bruce and Tabitha Mustain and also some that are connected by DNA to only the Mustain line. I am in the process of seeking DNA connections to "prove" connections to the George Bruce line and possibly the Mustain line. Of the children of James and Tabitha Bruce, from Ancestry.com Thrulines, there are a number of DNA connections to me. As far as DNA connections to others of the line from the George Bruce line, I have found several. BJS
