Hi John,

Both The Peerage and Wikipedia are saying that the year he was born was 1760 not 1769. I wanted to add a source from Wikipedia regarding this profile.

Please don't Megan.

The source cited by the Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Brudenell,_6th_Earl_of_Cardigan has his birth date as 1769, and Darryl Lundy's thePeerage website is citing The Complete Peerage which definitely states he was born in 1769 as well.

Both of these sources appear to be making a mistake in having him born in 1760. I haven't time to add the primary source I found in Ancestry.com but that confirm he was born 25 April 1769.

What is meant by the term "born posthumously"?

Hi Katie, when someone is born posthumously, it means they are born after their father has died. So the father of this profile died in October 1768.
