Jacob Brunk (Brunck) was born about 1734 in Germany to parents John Brunk and Susanna Unknown. He married Anna Marie Stauffer on 1759 in Washington, Maryland. Children: John, Anna Maria, Susanna, Elizabeth, Barbara, Jacob, George, David, Joseph, Daniel. He died before June 30, 1787 in Washington, Maryland.

Jacob made his will December 10, 1785 in Washington County, Maryland. In it he mentions: Son John Brunck (willed land Jacob owned in PA). Daughter Anna Mary Brunck. Daughter Ann Brunck. Daughter Susannah Brunck. Daughter Barbara Brunck. Daughter Elizabeth Brunck. Son Jacob Brunck (willed land Jacob owned in VA). Son Daniel Brunck (willed land Jacob owned in VA). Son David Brunck. Son George Brunck. Son Joseph Brunck. Wife Ann Brunck.

Executors: Son, John Brunck. Friend Christian Newcomer. Witnesses: Peter Hause, Peter Palmer and John Hause.

Jacob must have died before June 30, 1787 when Peter Hause and Peter Palmer made oath in court that they heard Jacob publish his LW&T, and they believed him to be of sound and disposing memory.

In Aug 4, 1787 -- Ann Brunck, widow of Jacob Brunck, quited her claim to the several bequests and devises made to her in the will of her husband and accepted in lieu thereof her dower or third part of the estate

Aug 25, 1787 -- John Brunck, son of Jacob Brunck, decd and one of the executors of the estate, refused to act as executor and renounced all his right title and claim to said executorship.

Aug 27, 1787 -- Christian Newcomer affirmed that Jacob's LW&T is the true and whole will, that hath come to his hands or possession and that he doth not know of any other.
