Marriage

Daisy was married to Alfred Herbert Cole at Parkham on 23 April 1924

Examiner of Saturday 26 April 1924, reported:

"WEDDING BELLS. COLE—BRYAN.
At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, the marriage was solemnised at St. Alban's Church, Parkham, of Miss Daisy Bryan, youngest daughter of Mrs. Bryan and the late Mr. Alfred Bryan, "Spring Vale," and Alfred Herbert Cole, third son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Cole, Har-ford. The Rev. Weld-Thomas performed the ceremony, and Miss Kenton presided at the organ. The choir sang "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden" as the bride entered the church, and the organist played the "Wedding March"' as the bridal party left. The church was decorated by the girl friends of the bride. The bride was escorted by her brother Richard, and wore a navy costume braided, with small black hat. The bridesmaid, Miss C. Cole, wore a pretty gown of georgette and a large black picture velvet hat; Mr. S. Cole (brother) accompanied the bridegroom as best man. Afterwards Mrs. Bryan .... "Spring Vale." The bride received many useful gifts."[3]

Death and Burial

Daisy passed away on 2 September 1981, aged 86 years, and her remains were interred at Deloraine General Cemetery next to those of her husband.
