Biography

Lucinda (Bryan) Eade was born in Van Diemen's Land (1826-1856)

Lucinda BRYAN, daughter of Robert BRYAN and Ellen BRODERICK, was born on 5 August 1854 in Westbury, Colony of Van Diemen's Land.

Lucinda married Esrom James ("James") DAW / EADE, son of James DAW and Ruth GOREHAM, on 4 December 1872 in Hotham, Colony of Victoria.

James was born on 9 November 1839 in Westham, Sussex, England, United Kingdom, was christened on 1 January 1840 in Westham, Sussex, England, United Kingdom, died on 18 October 1918 in Hillston Hospital, Hillston, New South Wales, Australia at age 78, and was buried on 20 October 1918 in Church of England Cemetery, Hillston, New South Wales, Australia. The cause of his death was from pneumonia. Other names for James were James DAW, and James EADE.

They had 11 children: Jane Victoria, Ruth G. B., Robert James Emanuel, F. W., Mabel Blanch, Lachlan Valentine, Victor S./P. B., Francis, Langlo, Ernest A. E. , and Edward A. E..

Some online family trees record Lucinda died in 1927 at Katanning, Western Australia. This is a different person - see below - Lucinda Eade's death can not be found, suspected that she stayed in Western Australia after her husband, James, moved back to NSW about 1902, and may have lived with their daughter in Boulder, W.A.

Eades, Lucy (nee Coyne) (c.1859 - 1927) Born in WA c.1859, died in Katanning, WA, 12 November 1927. Born in WA, with one Aboriginal parent (she is described in the birth records of her children as a 'halfcaste'). In 1876, Lucy married ex-convict Charles Eades (c.1831-1898) in Albany, and they had six children. Lucy Eades died in Katanning in 1927, aged 68, of heart failure.
