At age 7, he lived with his parents and 4 siblings on South Robert Street in West St. Paul, MN. James married Ruth ("Micky") Irene Weir on August 13, 1924, two days after his 22nd birthday. Ruth was ~23. They had 1 son, James Camp Bryan Jr., but when he was 18 months, Ruth contracted tuberculous and died some months later. James Sr. remarried Ruth (Fitch) Linnell, though they later divorced and she remarried. James passed away on October 8, 1962 at the age of 60.[1]

Research Notes

  • 1910 census (digitized form) puts middle initial as O. Viewing the raw file, and comparing against 1920 census (raw and digitized) his middle initial is definitely C.
  • Death certificate confirms mother's maiden name is Briggs.
