Research Notes
John's second wife Martha was born to a Walker and Elizabeth Knight. On Family search it shows she married a Hardy Brown Price on 18 April 1813 in Edgecombe, North Carolina, United States. [6]She married John Walker Bryan in 1829. Not sure how she obtained the last name Davis unless she married a Davis sometime between the two.
There is no source record showing she actually married Hardy Price, nor is there an explanation in record entry.
In the will listing for Hardy Brown Price, it also lists a Rebecca Price, could this be John's first wife? [7]

Is James Luther Bryan really his son? There is nothing in the Smith Genealogy[1] document that mention him.
