Elizabeth Maria Caple, wife of Robert James Bryant, was the sister of my great grandfather William Alfred Thomas Caple. Their parents were William Henry Spencer Caple and Sophia Jane Amesbury, their surnames were given as first names to Joseph Amesbury Caple Bryant. They lived in the Huntspill area of Somerset, where my grandmother was born.
Family memories recorded Robert James was known as Robin and that he and Elizabeth were medical missionaries in India.

just to let you know job cranmer was my 3 times great grandfather! his daughter caroline married Charles Horton my 2 times great grandfather, they married at holy trinity stratford upon avon in 1851. hope this helps a bit. Christine.
Hi Julian - this is interesting, son of Timothy who died in WW1, also note that he was ambulance rather than active soldier, probably fits with PB convictions. Suzanne
