Biography

Robert Bryant-321 is stated to have been born 1650. [1]

Genealogy written by Darrin Lythgoe 2001-2019. [2]. Boombridge Genealogy written by Darrin Lythgoe 2001-2019, gives the following offspring for Robert 2nd and Mary. All estimated to have been born 1698-1722 Mercy BRYANT, Sarah BRYANT, Robert BRYANT, Elizabeth BRYANT, Mary BRYANT, Priscilla BRYANT, Samuel BRYANT, Hannah BRYANT, Dorothy BRYANT,

Wife Mary must have been widowed prior to 9 Aug 1939 as Boombridge Genealogy written by Darrin Lythgoe 2001-2019. [3] indicates the following in 1739 Rockingham County, New Hampshire Colony for wife named Mary, " 9 Aug 1739 Greenland, Rockingham, NH

Rockingham County Land Records Volume 24 Page 287 Mary Briant wid, Robert Briant, Abram Briant cooper all Greenland Bracket Johnson weaver, Greenland 91 pounds, land in Greenland, 6 1/2 acres, 4 1/2 acres.

9 August 1739 Mary Briant, Robert Briant, Abrm Briant, Wit: Jonathan Barker, Rhodo Barker". Retrieved 22 Oct 2019.

Roberts place of death can only be determined by the actual date of death, as the area which became Rockingham County, New Hampshire Colony, only became so in 1738. Prior to this date it was considered Massachusetts Colony. Even after New Hampshire Colony creation, the area was administered by Massachusetts Colony for quite some time, until creation as a Royal Colony.

A seemingly well documented site containing Robert Bryant-321 can be found at Boombridge Genealogy written by Darrin Lythgoe 2001-2019. [4]

Boombridge gives the following: "New Hampshire: Miscellaneous Censuses and Substitutes, 1640-1890 Census, Tax and Voter Lists. Assessment in 1716 and 1736", so Roberts death must be after time of assessment in 1736 and prior to assessment of Widow Mary on 9 Aug 1739.

Further assessments through 1742 for the Greenland land appear to be for Robert Bryants' 2nd son, Robert Bryant 3rd.

Assessments beyond that are for the area which became Durham, and reflect Robert 2nds Grandson.
