Biography

Cecil was born in 1901, the son of Joseph Bryant and Effie May Winters. His mother died when he was six, and his father later remarried to Sarah Lucinda Richard. Cecil married at age 23, and passed away in 1997 at 95 years old.

OBITUARY

Cecil C. Bryant

Cecil Clinton Bryant, 95, of Troy, died Tuesday (March 4, 1997) at the Troy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Troy.

Mr. Bryant was a foreman for Laclede Gas Co. from 1934 to 1967. He was a fiddle player and a member of the Clayton Lodge 601 AF&AM.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Kemper-Marsh Funeral Home, 351 Monroe Street, Troy. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Red Top Church Cemetery in Buffalo, Mo.

Among survivors are two daughters, Beulah Zwicky of St. Charles and Lynna Jo Hanes of Florida; a sister, Floy Elizabeth Peredoux of Maryland Heights; two brothers, Russell Bryant of Buffalo, Mo., and Woodrow Bryant of Ivan, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
