Biography
A convict
James was born some time between 1804 and 1814.
James Bryant married Eliza Ann Toogood 4 Mar 1844, Brighton, Tasmania, Australia[1] This record states that he was age 30, occupation farmer and she was 23. Birth records show several children.
He passed away 09 Aug 1895, Hamilton, Tasmania, Australia of senile decay. At the time of his death his occupation was "farmer". His death was reported by his son in law Charles Burn, a farmer at Hamilton. This record gives his age at death as 88[2]. Funeral notice: "BRYANT. - On August 9, 1895, at his late residence, Hamilton, James Bryant, in his 89th year. The funeral will leave his late residence at half-past 2 on MONDAY, August 12. Friends are respectfully invited to attend."[3]
