Biography

Joseph was born in 1824. Joseph Robert Bryant is the son of James Bryant, Benjamin's brother and Mary Polly Price Bryant. He married Amanda Anna Bryant, who was his first cousin, on July 27, 1850 in Milam County. They had 6 children, Susan, Barney (J B), Lafayette (L B), William, Ida, and Samuel. In the obituary on Amanda’s Grave Memorial is written that “in 1863 her husband and 4 of her children (Susan, William, Ida and Samuel) died. They are buried in unmarked graves in the Bryant Station Cemetery in Milam County.”
