When Anna Catharina Buchner was born on May 7, 1737, in Hesse, Germany, her father, Johann, was 32, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 32. She married Jacob Beam in 1756 in New Jersey, USA. They had 11 children in 22 years. She died on August 24, 1820, in Beamsville, Ontario, having lived a long life of 83 years, and was buried there.
