Mr Thomas Buck from Newcastle, N.S.W. who has been spending a holiday at Wallaroo as the guest of Mrs Geo. Allen, left last week-end on a visit to Alice Springs, where he will meet his brother Mr Bob Buck, better known as "Bob Buck of the Inland. During his stay in Wallaroo, Mr Buck renewed many old friendships. A returned soldier of World War I, he was known amongst his intimates at Wallaroo as "Splinter," as distinctive from his cousin of the same name, the late Mr T. C. Buck.^[2]
