Michael Buck from 2nd Regiment of York Militia participated in the War of 1812.


Michael was born in 1774. Michael was the son of Philip Buck Sr. and Anna Marguerite Saltzman/Saultman. Philip Sr. was a Loyalist, originally from Germany. Michael arrived in Trafalgar Twp. about 1811 and lived there until at least 1825. He passed away after 1843, possibly in Trafalgar Twp.[1]

During the War of 1812, Michael served as a private in the 2nd York Militia in 1813. He served from November 2 to 6, 1813 in Captain William Thompson’s Company. [2]
