After 1850, Lorena Buck drops off the census charts. However, in 1870, an 36-year-old Lorena Russell appears in Buckfield, Oxford Co., Maine with 2 teenage children: Alice and L. Weston.

In 1860, she showed up on Bethel, Oxford Co. Maine, with husband Lawson E. Russell, Maine, and children Ellen, Alice, and Weston. Is this the same Lorena?

By 1880, she and Lawson and daughter Ellen are in Augusta, Butler Co., Kansas.

A Lawson E. Russell, b. Feb. 29, 1820 in Bethel, Oxford, Maine, married Rebecca Jane Weston about 1844 in Bethel. This would have been a prior marriage for Lawson. It appears that all three children are Rebecca's, and not Lorena's.
