Biography

Guy E. Buck, 94, of Valentine Rd., died at home after a short illness. Born in Ada, Kans., he was a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in electrical engineering. In 1918, he and his friend, Ira David Sankey Kelly are listed as freshmen at Kansas State.[1] He lived most of his adult life in the Schenectady area. He was a veteran of World War I. For 40 years he was an electrical engineer for General Electric Co., retiring in 1964. He was a member of the American Legion of Ballston Spa, the Elfun Society, the G.E. Quarter-century Club, the Assoc. for the Advancement of Ethical Hypnosis in Schenectady, the Schenectady Amateur Radio Operators, the Cotillion Dance Group, and a six-year volunteer in the dance therapy program at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.

His call sign was K2YGI.

Spouses - Isabelle Hayner Buck and Mina Conwell Buck (d. 1969). Parents - Marcus Buck and Fannie Hogarty Buck. Son - Rev. Lyle B. Buck of Ellicott City, Md.
