Gideon was the eldest child of Josiah Buckingham and Anne Brinsmade born on June 24, 1744 in Milford.[1][2][3]
grad. Yale 1765, at age 21. Studied law, and
was for many years the leading man of Milford. He was judge of the county court of New Haven county about 25 years, and town clerk of Milford 35 years.
1788, Delegate to convention for Ratification of the State Constitution.
