Mark was baptised at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 19th October 1828.[1] He was the son of William Buckingham and Elizabeth Pain. His father gave his occupation at the baptism as labourer.
Marriage
Mark Buckingham and Sarah Paine were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 5th May 1851.[2] They were bachelor and spinster and both living in Hanborough. Mark was of full age and a labourer. Sarah was 19 and working as a glover. Both stated only that their father was deceased. Mark signed his own name on the register whilst Sarah could only make her mark with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were John Crofts and Ellen Paine.[3]
