Biography

TRUMBULL - Edwin Clayton Buckingham, 76, of 831 White Plains Rd, a retired treasurer of the Mitchell Dairy company died yesterday in Saint Mary's Convalescent Hospital after nine months' illness.

Private services will be conducted Wednesday in Mountain Grove Cemetery by the Reverend Alexander L. Harper, pastor of Trumbull Congregational Church.

Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Buckingham served as treasurer in the Mitchell Dairy Company from 1924 to 1929. He occupied the position which he assumed upon the retirement of his father, Francis.

He was a long time active member of the Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, and the National Association of Cost Accountants.

Survivors are two sons, Thomas Buckingham of Trumbull, and Paul, of Monterrey Park, California: two brothers, Albion Buckingham, of Bridgeport, and Earl, of Boston: a sister, Mrs. Emily Olson, of Newington, and several nieces and nephews.
