Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Thanks for your kind words about my cemetery free page. 2000 graves is quite a project. This one only has 268 and I'm only halfway through. I have some larger ones in the area I want to do and actually more likely to tackle them now that tables are not the *in* thing.
Thanks for starting on a spreadsheet for Waiuku. I always use the surname first for sorting. All of the tables I use for cemetery pages use Surname first, and that is the standard. While the names in the categories are shown with first name first, they are grouped under the first letter of their surname (grouped under first letter of their birth surname). Their order under their surname letter is alphabetical according to their surname, and not their first name. But yes, I agree, checking off against the ones listed in the category can be laborious, particularly for women, as you might only have their surname at death, not their surname at birth.

Hi Arthur! I just wanted to say thanks for participating in the Scan-a-Thon. I know there were some glitches and weirdness with the tracking but I hope that doesn't deter you from contributing. We're very happy you found WikiTree! :)
Hi Arthur

The Pre-1700's ancestors were as an exam for the 1700's requiring sourcing..

Pre-1500's entries and editing are a separate Certification, as more sourcing and care needs to be taken. It is not an exam, but requires longer time on WikiTree and Pre-1700's profiles need to be submitted along with recommendations from the projects you have worked with.

This is the help Page for it. Pre-1500's

Thank you for asking

Mary Pre-1700's Greeter

Arthur, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

I did not encounter ancestors in the Pre-1700's. It appears your ancestors would fit this when your Pre-1700's reach England: England Project. Leaders are Wendy Sullivan and Gillian Thomas. Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

Hello Arthur!

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Welcome Arthur

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:New_Member_How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site, and find many cousins you never knew existed.

Happy tree climbing

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter
