Peter Buckle was born in England.
Peter Victor Buckle was born in the village of West End on the outskirts of Southampton, Hampshire, England.
He moved to Hatley Road which was later to become part of Bitterne in 1933 and he started school 21st April 1936 just before his fifth birthday.
Other than holidays in England he spent all of his life in Hampshire most of the time within a few miles of where he was born.
His death in the year 2000 was after several weeks spent in hospital but prior this he was generally fit and well. His only other prolonged spell in hospital was just before the birth of his youngest grandson. He had been knocked off his bicycle in a road traffic collision on his way home. He never cycled again after this even though he had used the bicycle as his main means of transport.
Instead he would walk or catch a bus as he had never been able to afford to learn how to drive or run a car.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Peter:
