Biography

Frances Elizabeth Buckley was known to her family as Lil, a shortened name often used as a nickname for Elizabeth (Lillybet etc).

Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Izzard, of Yorke Estate, died in Nepean District Hospital on Sunday at the age of 78 years. Deceased, who was a native of Parramatta, was the daughter of the late William Henry Buckley, and was married to Mr. George Izzard at Mudgee. She had resided in Penrith for over 50 years. Her husband died two years ago. Three daughters and one son survive, viz., Mrs. W. Manning (Enfield), Mrs. Allen Long (Castlereagh), Mrs. J. Hudson (Wahroonga), and Mr. George Izzardd (Penrith). A short service was held at the deceased's home prior to the funeral. The internment was in the C. of E. portion of Penrith general cemetery. Rev. A.A. Mutton conducted both services.
