DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Eli by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Eli:
I have removed the middle name James because there is no evidence for it (not in christening, death or any other record). I believe it came from one of the children's marriage records where the parents "Eli & Jane Budd" were transcribed as "Eli Jame Budd." The grandchild Eli b. ~1920 (child of Thomas) apparently went by James, but his full name has not been confirmed.
