Thanks!!! I’m afraid I don’t remember why I was working there but I will add a source if I can find one.

I see now. I was trying to add a source from a connected profile but I’m not sure it applies so I left a research note. I’ll also ask my researcher. I’ve been following his work today so it’s probably a line he is working.

Hello Michael,

Do you have the surname Linden or McAlinden in your family tree? If so I would very much like to view your tree

Thanks, Paul Linden

Cousin! Thank you for the merge and the work that you've done with the Budd family genealogy. I hope to be able to add to your work were I'm able.

Part of the reason I came to WikiTree was because it was free, as well as their mission, but also because I wanted to discover and possibly connect with Budd family members outside my own.

Looking forward to any future collaboration where possible.

Hello again, Michael.

A few more comments on Griet Dircks. Her marriage record calls her Griet Pieters. Pieter was her grandfather; Dirck was her father. This happened on occasion at this time period, so it does not mean a mistake was made anywhere.

Griet Schoenmakers is listed in the burial records of Andijk on May 18 1719. The burial records of Enkhuizen from that year aren't available online at this time. Enkhuizen borders Andijk, so it's possible she is recorded in two different churches. However, it seems she lived in Andijk so it would make sense that she was buried there.

I hope this helps you make a decision whether or not to merge Dircks-63 and Tromp-42.

Hello, Michael. Thanks for your work on the Schoenmaker genealogy. I just checked the marriage records for Andijk and Wervershoof. Jan Pietersz Schoenmaker and Griet Pieters were married in Andijk on January 24, 1683. They are not listed in Wervershoof. So you have the correct town listed. I'm not sure how I got the wrong one.

Dutch people were often listed in two church record books - the home church of the groom and the home church of the bride. Wervershoof is where Griet is from. But the marriage record lists her as living in Andijk, so she may have been working as a maid there. Many young people worked as farm hands and maids so that they would have the money to get married.

Michael, thank you for all the work you do in researching our Rinehart family. I read your biography and realized you are a very well educated person and knowledgeable in research practice. I am just learning although I have been searching for answers for approximately 20 years. Most of my work has been done at the Iola, Allen, Kansas public library and searching Allen County records. The Iola Register has most of the obituaries and some were found in the Humboldt Union records. I found Cathrene Jane's obit on microfilm of the Iola Register. It only lists her as Mrs. C. G. Rinehart. Says she was a long time sufferer and Greely was not able to attend the funeral as he had the measles. It stated she is buried at the Salem Cemetery in Allen County. I could not find a grave marker.
Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies. If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles. Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations. If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. _____ Matt~ WikiTree Mentor
