Good Morning Larry,

All the records I've found so far indicate the Hogg/Hoag family I'm researching originated in Scotland. They are definitely Hogg until after coming to the United States. The name change didn't occur until late-1920s to early 1930s.

I've not been able to determine what instigated the name changes. I'm still researching the family and continue to hope an explanation will turn up.

On Dunmeyer-1 and Dunmyer-27 you wrote: Dunmyer-27 reflects the correct spelling of the last name. I have completed the merge :) please see her profile Dunmeyer-1 for her father's surname spelling. Since you are one of her profile managers, I have left name edits alone, except what was necessary to process the merge. Thank you and Happy New Year! Char
