Hosmer L. Buell, son of Asa Dewey Buell and Aurelia Buell, was born about May 1836 in New York.[1]
He married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ellen Abbot, daughter of David Sears Abbott and Almira W. (Hunt) Abbott, on 24 Aug. 1873 at Wabaunsee, Kansas.[2]
He was named executor of his father's estate in his father's will dated 28 June 1875. [1] He was divorced and a laborer and when he appeared on the census of 7 June 1880 in the home of his brother at Clay Center, Clay, Kansas.[3] He was a druggist and divorced when he appeared on the census of 14 June 1900 at Elgin, Union, Oregon.[4]
