Cepaga was born about 1863. (1912 census)

Name

In the censuses, his Hocąk name is given as ChaPaKah, which is for Cepaga, "Buffalo Head," which is from ce, "buffalo"; pa, "head"; and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names. This is a Buffalo Clan name.

Marriage

His marriage with Mary Snowball Decorah was made in late middle age. They appear to have had no children together.

Death

He passed away in 9 July 1914. (WHS)
