Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Jacob Buford Jr is a part of US Black heritage.

Jacob was born about 1870. He is the son of Jacob Buford and Frances Burks. In 1880, the family was living in Dublin, Pulaski, Virginia.[1] In 1900, Jacob, his wife Mary, and his mother, Frances, was living in Pulaski District, Pulaski, Virginia. They also had a boarder, the widow Elizabeth White, and a 9 year old servant, Bessie Cook, in the household.[2]

The couple was still in Pulaski in 1910[3] and 1920[4], and had 4 children.

Jacob passed away in 1963. Burial was in the Pinehurst Cemetery, Pulaski, Pulaski County, Virginia.[5]
