Mary Millar Buist was born to James Buist and Barbara (McLaren) Buist on 25 May 1836 at Hayston, Forfarshire, Scotland (now called Kincaldrum). She was baptized 3 July 1836 at Glamis.[1][2]
In the 1891 census, Mary (age 55) was the single daughter of James Buist at 84, Liff Road, Liff, Lochee, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland. Her nephews Robert and James Buist were also in the home.[3]
Mary (age 52), single, Jute Weaver, died 30 August 1900 at Lochee, Angus. Scotland. The informant was her sister-in-law Euphemia Buist. [4]
