Biography

Robert was born in 1665. He was the son of Richard Bulkeley and Elin Owen. ^{[citation needed]}

Robert passed away in 1728. Prior to his passing, he wrote a will on 5th November that year.

To his eldest son, Richard Bulkeley, or heirs, he requested he (or they) discharge all his debts and funeral expenses.

To his younger children, he left them £60. To his wife (his beloved), he devised and bequeathed all remaining personal estate, goods and chattels and made her executor of his will. Robert's will was written on 5th November 172X (the latter number gone from the fraying of the page). The will was signed by Robert Bulkeley and witnessed by Thomas Vincent, clerk; John Parry and Owen Owen. ^[1]

An inventory of Robert's personal assets was compiled by Thomas Morris and Richard Lewis, appraisers and dated 29th April 1729. It referred to Robert as 'late of Dronwy'. ^[2]

Research Note

Richard Bulkeley, his son, is mentioned as being the eldest son, which potentially calls into question the alleged birth dates of his other sons. It is possible he had more children, with the alleged eldest as noted on the connected profiles, as being born at a later time than alleged, since those profiles have no sources.
