Lucy Bull was the daughter of Rev. John Bull and Elizabeth Wrathall. She was christened on 28 Mar 1819 at Leicester, Leicestershire, England.[1]
Lucy Bull emigrated from England to South Australia in 1838. She accompanied her brother, John Wrathall Bull and his wife and two boys, and another brother, Joseph Bull, on the Canton. They arrived at Adelaide, South Australia on 2nd May 1838.[2]
Lucy Bull married Thomas Hudson Beare on 24th October 1840 in South Australia. Their marriage was announced in "South Australian Register" on Saturday 31st October 1840.
On the 24th Oct. 1840, Lucy, third daughter of the Rev. J. Bull, of Clipston Rectory, to T. H. Beare, Esq., Netley, near Adelaide.[3]
Lucy (Bull) and Thomas Beare had 9 children.
She passed away on 15th September 1887 at North Adelaide, South Australia and was interred in the North Road Cemetery, Nailsworth, South Australia, Australia.[4]
Her death notice was published in "South Australian Register" on Monday 19th September 1887.
On the 15th September, in the residence of her step-daughter, Mrs. F. E. Archer 177 Archer Street, Lucy, relict of the late T. H. Beare of Netley, in her 69th year. A colonist of 49 years.[5]
