On the night of 3 Apr 1881, Frederick lived with his parents and siblings at 7, Acorn Place, Rotherhithe, Surrey, England, United Kingdom. He was three years old. His birthplace was Rotherhithe. The administrative county was London at that time.
At the time of the 1891 census, the family had moved to 10, Derrick Street, Rotherhithe. Frederick was thirteen. [4] The household consisted of:

Coldstream Guards
In 1901, Frederick was a soldier. He was a private in the Coldstream Guards. He was 23 and his birthplace was Rotherhithe, Surrey. He was in the Guards Depot for recruits, at the Barracks in Caterham, Godstone, Surrey, England. [5]
On the 30 May 1904, Frederick received the South Africa Medal Clasp. His regimental number was 3893 and he was a private. He had served in the Cape Colony and in South Africa in 1902. The medal was forfeited. [6]
Civilian Life
In 1911, Frederick worked as a dock labourer at the docks. He was single, 32 and born at 10, Cow Lane, Rotherhithe, Surrey. He lived at 49, Reculver Road, Deptford, London, Kent, England. His landlady was Elizabeth Crow, 46. She was a widow and his future wife. The four room household included her four children and another boarder called Florence WALPOLE. Elizabeth took in washing which she did at home. [7]
Marriage
On the 15 May 1915, Frederick married Elizabeth Robina Crow at the Registrar's Office in Greenwich, London, Kent, England. She was a widow. Her address on the 28 November 1917 was 61, Reculver Road, Deptford, London, Kent, England. They had a son, Albert Victor born on the 28 August 1901, in Deptford. [8] [[Elizabeth Robina's maiden name was RYAN. She had two previous husbands, James Joseph DAVEY and William Henry CROW. Albert Victor was the son from her second marriage to William Henry.
World War I
Frederick BULLARD was a private in the 12th unit or corps of the East Surrey Regiment. His regimental number was 12177. [8]
Frederick's attestation was completed on the 8 June 1915. He lived at 61, Reculver Road, Deptford. Frederick was 37 years and 5 months old and a stevedore. He stated that he had not served in any branch of His Majesty's Forces, even though he had been in the Coldstream Guards. Frederick was 5 feet 8 1/2 inches tall, with a girth of 40 inches and a range of chest expansion of 2 inches. He had a scar on his left forearm. [8]
Frederick served in France. From 8 June 1915 to the 30 September 1917 Fredrick was in the 12th East Surrey Regiment. On the 24 February 1917 he was appointed to the A J Corps. This appointment was reliquished when he was attached to 41 Prisoner of War Corps. On the 8 October 1917 Frederick was posted to the 3rd East Surrey Regiment. On the 6 December 1917 he was discharged because he was no longer physically fit for Service. [8]
Frederick was entitled to the Victory and/or British War Medal. [9] His other medals were the War Badge (284037) and the Kings Corp (9682). [8]
The date of discharge was the 6 December 1917. He was in the 3rd battalion of the East Surrey Regiment. He was awarded a weekly pension of 27s 6d for 4 weeks and then 13s and 9d to be reviewed in 52 weeks. His disability was valvular disease of the heart. [8][10]
Last Years
In 1919 to 1921, Frederick and his wife [[Elizabeth continued to live at 61 Reculver Road. [11][12][13]
Frederick passed away on the 31 May 1923. He was buried in Lewisham, Greater London, Kent, England on the 8 June 1923. His death registered during the second quarter of 1923 in Bromley, Kent, England. [14]
