Thank you for your message. It came at an oppurtune moment as I find myself with more time on my hands since finished a non-WT project last week.
I joined the Durham team some time ago but I don't hear from anyone. I guess I don't really know how teams work, I thought once I'd joined a team I'd sit back and wait for someone to contact me but maybe I need to be more proactive?
Best,
Rachel
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm sorry you didn't hear anything after joining the Durham team - you should have done.
I'll contact you directly and we'll discuss how you might get more involved.
Steve

Everything is going great thanks and I'm about half way through my OT3 and loving it. I've come a long way since I joined the WT community. I've enjoyed a couple of 'thons and hope to take part in more. I've also started work on sharing some of my own family history, this is just a start!: Family History written by Catherine Bulmer née Potter (1762-1839)
I joined the Durham team after OT1 and would love to be more involved with them.
Thank you for getting in touch,
Rachel
Have begun getting back to WikiTree after lengthy Sabbatical. Checked on sources for Pearse-864 (managed by me) and Pearse-90. Please refer to Yard-31 and Yard-6. I do not believe they should be merged. P-90 has very few vitals. There is a link for P-864. Your thought are welcome. Donna Lawrence

We are a bit late with out thanks, but we appreciate all your help and we look forward to working with you again.
Joan and Maddy.
Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources; find or merge duplicates; clean up GEDCOM or merged biographies; or interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Debi
Thank you for your email. I’m working on my ‘orphans’ and could use some help deciphering a Will dated 1650. Is this something the WikiTree community can help with? Best regards Rachel
We have members who specialize in that kind of thing. The best way to get help would be to make a post in the G2G forum. There you could create a new post to introduce yourself, tell about the document, include a link to an image or upload a picture, and ask for help deciphering it. Use the Category Genealogy Help from the drop-down menu. Down at the bottom where it says "Surnames and project tags," add tags for the country, pre-1700, and transcription to get the attention of those who can help.
You can get an idea of how it works by reading some of the posts in the Genealogy Help Q & A. The most recent posts may not have answers yet but scroll on down and you see that most do.
If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
See you in the branches,
Debi
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
The England Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
