Nathaniel's daughter Elizabeth Bulmer was baptised in April 1784 in South Shields, Durham, England.[3] Elizabeth may have been born posthumously as she is not mentioned in Nathaniel's Will, however the date of probate is 30 November 1786 so it is more likely he met his baby daughter.
Nathaniel co-owned a shipbuilding company with his brother Richard. In his Will he left his collateral in this company to his wife and in the event of her death, to his brother William. It appears however that William also died young at around the same time as Nathaniel.[2]
