On 24 September 1894, Harriett married Nicholas Comino at St. Johns Church Darlinghurst by the rites of the Church of England.[2] Nicholas aged 21, a bachelor, was born in Corfu Greece. He was a fisherman at the time. Harriet was a spinster, born in Manning River, New South Wales. She was a domestic servant aged 23 at the time of their marriage. They were both residing at 145 Duke St., Woolloomooloo. Nicholas' father was Spero Comino a Shopkeeper and his mother was Marie. Harriet was the Daughter of George Bulmer, a labourer, and Elizabeth Carleu(sic). The witnesses to the marriage were Geore and ? Drury.[3]
