Anthony Bulmer was born about 1553 in Sedgefield, County Durham, England, son of Francis Bulmer (~1517–1578) and Katherine Norton (~1522–1596).

He died on the 3 Aug 1584 Nov', Iturup Island, Russia Not sure what the "Nov" is, can't be November since it says August. I'm just wondering what a man from Durham was doing on an island inhabited by the Ainu people in Russia/Japan? Any thoughts, anyone?
