Carlos Bulosan is Notable.

Carlos was born sometime between 1911-1915 in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines ^[1][2].

As told in his memoir/autobiographical novel, America is in the Heart^[3], he overcame the “harsh realities of inequality, injustice, and hatred due to racial discrimination … gradually educating himself into one of the first Filipino writers to write in English in the United States”^[1].

He died 11 Sep 1956 in Seattle, Washington^[2], and is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery^[4].
