Biography

When Alva Bump was born on July 5, 1809, in Boston, New York, his father, Jonathan, was 26 and his mother, Phebe, was 22.

He married Clarissa A. Blakely and they had six children together. He then married Emily Bowen and they had five children together.

He died in 1888 in Monroe, Kansas, having lived a long life of 79 years.
